It's up-to-date and has some of the best advice on skills, weapons, and armor that can be found.
Also, the mission walk-thru pages are quite accurate and can help if you're getting stuck on a bonus or having trouble completing a mission objective.

I recommend the checklist - it gives the most direct information for new players who want to move quickly to the full game and may not know what's a must-have quest in pre-searing before moving on. The Charr Bag is not a must-have. The rest of the quests/items are.
Also, the death-leveling guide is key to building a perma-pre character quickly to level 10 and above. I've not attempted the death-leveling technique, but anticipate that it is too much like grinding for me.
The armor collector list can be useful, but the armor available is not much better than what your character is created with at the start.
